Anita Dongre presented a collection titled Urban Goddess on Day 3 which was also the Indian Textile Day. Her collection was a perfect blend of ancient and modernity. She used the age old technique of Indian handloom to weave the fabrics and created the beautiful contemporary silhouettes  with them. We could sense an extensive use of Benares and ikat. There were midi skirts, her trademark style maxis, jackets, skinny trousers, using rich colors of blue, maroon, red, magenta, bronze black and gold.

It was definitely one of the best shows this season and it’s only a matter of time when we would see these off the runway.
