Agreed this is still a sari look but NOT a Sabya sari look? Who knew! Time for rejoicing. At the IIFA 2012 Vidya Balan chose a Masaba…very cleaver I would say, after sticking to Sabya for gazillion years, only Masaba could have done justice to her style. And, I mean that in a good way. While snooping around the net, I also found that she had in fact wore a Masaba earlier this year for an event. And even though I love the IIFA sari better, the draping is so perfect in the other one.

Also in saris at the IIFA were Nargis Fakhri and Bipasha Basu, there were many but I liked these two the best. Before you judge me on how on earth do I like a bra like blouse with a sari. I don’t. But doesn’t she look gorgeous? And let’s face it, if there is any one at all who can carry off a look as this, I can only think of Bipasha. On anyone it would be a risque mess.

Nargis Fakhri is perfect from head to toe. Let me also add that I’m fascinated at how the sari blouse has ‘evolved ‘ over the years. Time to buckle up and experiment.
